Piazza Castello was designed in 1564 by Vitozzi - this backs on to the Palazzo Madama - In Piazza Castello (The Castle Square) begin the most important central streets, like Rome Street, Po Street, Garibaldi Street and Pietro Micca Street..
Via Roma - the longest road in Turin, perhaps even in Europe, it starts from the Gate in Palazzo Madama and goes all the way to Porta Nuova Station
